When British filmmakers decide to set up their own film there is a large substantial amount of money that needs to be paid and this is where the BFI comes in to help. BFI stands for British Film Institute they are interested in the most creative piece of work, they set up a programme called the film fund. The film fund is the production and the development of films which has been generated by British Filmmakers. Approximately every year they have £18 million to invest in feature films, genre films, personal stories, documentaries and mainstream films. Being supported by the BFI means that they are supported every step of the way with advice and practical hel.
