Intertextuality used in our opening

For our film opening, we have made references to various film. For example the idea behind the main person running is based on the openings of Marathon Man and Train-spotting, because both films have the main character running and this sets the tone of the film, suggesting it will be fast and with lots of scenes which have tension. For our opening, we hope to replicate this so our opening has lots of tension and will be fast paced so the audience will be intrigued and will want to carry on watching the film.

Another use of intertextuality we use in our opening is a reference to Psycho, we replicate the section of the shower scene where the victim slides down a wall leaving a trail of blood on the wall. This slows down the scene, and emphasises on the murder that just took place. Another reference we make to Psycho is also after the murder, where the camera slowly pans from right to left, focusing on the whole body, we will also do this because it makes the scene seem cold and create tension, and it will also make the audience think what happened to the murderer.
